South Granville head coach Mike Hobgood spoke with HighSchoolOT about his team's preparation for the rivalry game, the Vikings' strong rushing attack and what the spring season has meant to the group.

Coach Hopper, Congratulations. Big win for you guys here against Granville Central. Obviously you needed to get it done. You're on the playoff bubble right now. What was kind of the message getting ready and getting focused for this one? Yeah, it was, it was two fold the playoffs and also being gravel Central who is a big rival. So uh, we didn't have to motivate them to hard for those teams 71 points. A huge offensive showing. You do that without your quarterback. Cohen bobbitt for most of the game, A bunch of different guys stepping up, How nice is it to have so many weapons who can make big plays like that? Yeah, it's super nice and, and that's kind of our offense and we run a triple option and we never heard as much option once gone went out. But uh, Michael Wilkerson did a great job of course and quan before he got hurt and shocking and Daniel and jenny crab dream is a huge place and Trayvon White and all those guys. It's been such a strange year obviously with all the uncertainty and you're dealing with some uncertainty over whether you're going to keep playing, what is this? Uh, this group meant to you in the spring season to, to be able to have the chance to get these seniors another year. And it's a special group. We, we love the senior group so much and you know, with so many kids kind of option out or kind of not looking great, you know, great stuff for too much and all that and the ones that did survive and persevere and I'm really proud of you.
