Communiqué de presse de fin de marche (en anglais) Communiqué de presse envoyé par le collectif FOOTPRINTS FOR PEACE. COMMON HEALTH before COMMONWEALTH Anti uranium-mining walkers on home stretch to reach the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting Fifty walkers from fifteen different countries are set to reach Perth this week. The walkers left Wiluna nine weeks and 1,200 km’s ago. Through rain, wind, and dust, through hot days and cold nights the walkers have remained strong in their call for an end to uranium mining in Australia.  The group has been walking in solidarity with the Traditional Custodians of the Wiluna and Yeelirrie areas where there are proposed uranium mines ; many of whom are opposed to the mines but have no legal recourse.
