The Broadway Education Alliance (“BEA”) has just announced a strategic partnership with the New York City Center Education & Community Engagement Department to introduce a scenic and costume design award that will be presented as part of The Roger Rees Awards for Excellence in Student Performance portfolio of recognitions.

The NYC-area awards recognize the best in high school theatre, with winners continuing on to compete at The Jimmy Awards.

The awards recognize individuals, organizations and agencies that contribute in an outstanding way to forestry activities.

We asked valedictorians and salutatorians from high schools across the Lower Hudson to reflect what high school was like for the class of 2023.

Tatum Hopkins as Audrey in "Little Shop," and Calvin Lindo as Frankie Valli in "Jersey Boys" are winners of the 13th Annual Roger Rees Awards.

Jaquel Spivey, Tony and Grammy Award-nominated artist for his role in A Strange Loop, will co-host the 2022-23 Roger Rees Awards for Excellence in Student Performance. Learn how to purchase tickets!

Two students selected by a panel of Broadway judges will subsequently represent the greater New York area at The Jimmy Awards in June.
