LISBON A May 24 jury trial was scheduled in Common Pleas Court for a New York man facing an attempted murder charge after slicing another man with a razor blade late last year.
Naquan P. McCorkle, 35, Lynbrook, N.Y., a suburb of New York city, is facing both a second-degree felonious assault charge and a first-degree felony attempted murder charge for his alleged attack on Brian Custer while the two men were staying at the former Trails End motel on state Route 45 on Nov. 30, 2020.
At the time of the stabbing, investigators from the sheriff’s office reported McCorkle used the razor blade to slice Custer in the head and around his shoulder down his back. Custer, of Wellsville, was flown to a local hospital for treatment, while McCorkle was treated for a cut to his finger.
