According to the state’s daily report, Huron County saw an increase of 10 cases and no deaths, bringing the county total to 1,157 confirmed cases and 28 deaths. For the first since Nov. 29 the county’s positivity rate dropped into the single digits to 5.9% on Dec. 15, with 11 positive cases out of 188 tests processed. However, the county has a seven day average positivity rate of 15%. Tuscola County saw an increase of 40 confirmed cases and three deaths, bringing the total to 2,092 confirmed cases and 76 deaths.

According to the state, Huron County led the region in the number of cases with 32 new cases and one death, bringing the county total since the beginning of the pandemic to 1,147 cases and 28 dead. Tuscola County saw 31 new cases reported and two additional deaths, bringing the county total to 2,052 confirmed cases and 73 dead.
