Kolkata, March 15 : The family members of Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee s sister-in-law Menaka Gambhir appeared before the CBI on Monday to record their statements in the multi-crore coal pilferage scam being investigated by the central probe agency.
Gambhir s father-in-law Pawan Arora and her husband Ankush Arora deposed before the CBI.
Meanwhile, the probe agency has postponed the date for the questioning of Trinamool Congrerss leader and West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee to March 23. Earlier, the agency had summoned the Trinamool leader in connection with the ICore chit fund scam for questioning on March 15 at its Kolkata office.

A CBI team had on February 23 visited the residence of Banerjee and examined his wife Rujira in connection with the case. The agency also examined Rujira s sister on the previous day on the same matter.
Abhishek is West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee s nephew.
The CBI on Monday questioned relatives of Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee in connection with its investigation into the multi-crore coal pilferage case. The central agency had on Friday issued a notice to Ankush Arora, husband of Menaka Gambhir who is the sister-in- law of Banerjee, for questioning in the illegal coal mining case.

Paschim Bardhaman (West Bengal) [India], March 13 (ANI): The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of West Bengal Police has arrested the close aide of Anup Majhi, the main accused in the coal scam case from Andal on Friday night.
According to sources, the accused Randhir Singh was associated with Majhi and was involved in the scam.
Meanwhile, the agencies like the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) have been jointly probing the coal scam. On the other hand, the West BengalCID has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) for the case.
