MONMOUTH Brooklyn Federico tripled and struck out seven betters to lead Monmouth to a 14-1 win over Mt. Abram in five innings in a Mountain Valley Conference softball game Friday.
Emma Johnson had an inside-the-park home run for the Mustangs (8-1), and Casey Kaplan drove in a pair of runs.
Adrianna Stinchfield struck out four for the Roadrunners (0-8).

WINDHAM Ashton Crowell led off the seventh with a triple to start a three-run rally, and Kalvin Camire added a key double as Biddeford pulled out an 8-6 baseball win Friday against Windham.
Crowell, Camire and Alex McAlevey each finished with two hits as Biddeford improved to 2-0.
Brady Afthim led Windham (0-1) with three hits, including a solo home run in the first. Colby Raynor hit a double and a single.
