Blinding snow with wind gusts topping 35 miles an hour have created whiteout conditions in the plains in midwest. By midday, a halffoot of snow had already fallen in indianapolis. Some areas are expecting nearly two feet of snow by the time the storm passes. In arkansas, roughly 200,000 people will have to make it through the night in the cold without power. Millions trying to return home after christmas are also now stranded. Over the past two days, 1,700 flights have been canceled and at least 2,000 have been delayed.
