Was a direct fact check to j. D. Vance he did complain that cbs was violating its own rule. It is the top of the hour. Super grateful to have you watching our coverage of the Vice President ial debate. It started as a Slow Burn. Not sure what is happening on the substance, the pace was slower at the beginning and then about midpoint it really took off. And then we had what i think was a almost knock out. He wobbled on guns and then when we got to January 6 He Was out cold. There was stonns, too. I remember that lieberman debate, they were sitting next to each other, it was, we agree on stuff. Some of that vibe. You saw a little bit of this is j. D. Vance that made a lot of friends at yale this is tim walz that won a republican district in difficult times including 2010 when every other democrat got kicked out. You saw an heability i can talk to people who dont agree with me, right . But the thing that really Sort Of like cut it was the democracy question. Walz apologize for it. This is
You watching our coverage of the Vice President ial debate here on msnbc. It was a debate i think started as a slow burn, i thought, this will be cordial, which is good, im not sure whats happening here on the substance. The pace of it was much slower at the beginning, and then about midpoint it really took off, then i think we had what i thought was almost a knockout on healthcare. I thought walz basically knocked out vance. First of all, he wobbled badly on guns, we can talk about that, you most knocked him out on healthcare, then a January 6th he was out cold. In terms of Format And Tone they were sitting next to each other, it was very collegiate, very we agree on things. This was Jd Vance who made friends at yale, this was Tim Walz who won in difficult times during 2010 would basically ever y democrat. Kicked out. But the thing that really sort of, like to get back to the Democracy Question at The End, walz almost apologizes for it where he says like we are agreeing on a lot of st
Political precincts that usually vote the other way to poach support from the other side or at least limit their numbers and expand the razor thin path to victory as we see it on the board. Second hour begins now. Dana has the day off. Bill hemmer, happy to have our Friend And Colleague with us today. Martha great to be with you. So welcome everybody. Hour two. It has been quite a week. Quite a week. We all know that in these Battleground States it is very, very tight, these margins. The tightest that we have seen in any modern election. Keep that in mind as you look at this and why they would want to pick off some voters in each others categories here. Vice president harris and running mate Tim Walz are heading to trump country today. Launching a Campaign Blitz in rural America Harris in pennsylvania, walz hitting michigan and wisconsin. Every single president and every single Vice President has been audited by the irs every year of their time in office. And they all still routinely release their tax returns to the public every year so that excuse from trump and the Trump Campaign never made sense. Being under audit is excuse for not releasing your tax returns as a candidate or certainly as president. Also, the audit excuse never made sense for his past tax returns. Even if donald trump wanted to release nothing under current audit, well, what about years for which the audits are completed and closed . Any year of his taxes before, say, 2008, any year that was audited before then, those years presumably would be done being audited by now. Those would be closed. So why not release those earlier tax returns even if you dont want to release the current ones for which there isnt an excuse not to do anyway . Whether or not you are a supporter of donald trump in
general, whether or not you care whats in his tax returns, it o

You cant predict the president but the assumption would be a traditional response would be then walk away. Anything other than that, would that surprise you in. They have no now go through the south koreans and their own you would assume we have to steal our spine here . You would assume that. Find out who wants this summit more. Exactly. All right. You better get out of here. Thanks very much. Lets turn to the politics of impeachment. Believe it or not its become a hot topic with leaders in the Republican Party. Its not for what you think. Whether youre talk about elected leaders, party leaders, even President Trumps lawyers, they are warning that nancy pelosi is readying her caucus for a coup postnovember. If she wants to obstruct everything and impeach the president , i dont think america wants to see that. Her wh
