Therein lies the beauty of this group: theyâre changing the status quo. âWe challenge the stereotype that all people of colour are lumped together â we are individuals, so our writing is individual,â says Sharan. âWhat Sheena says has become our collectiveâs way of being in the world and of seeing the world: build circles, not pyramids.â

This is true of their perception of success, too. âItâs an internal feeling,â says Roshini. âI think success for me is less about accolades and recognition and more about knowing I have shared something in the most honest way possible.â And what can we expect next from the collective?
