(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Suspected Fulani herdsmen at the early hours of Friday  attacked Tse Ancha in the Agan community of Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue State and killed eight people. The attack and killing of murder of the eight people including the kindred head of the community is coming few hours after the victims of the Abegana IDP camp were buried. According to a source, the casualty in the community would have been worse if not for the prompt response of some youths who were vigilant in a nearby village and mobilized themselves to rescue the community. Chairman of Makurdi LGA, Anthony Dyegeh, who confirmed the attack stated that the suspected herders could have wiped out Tse Ancha and moved to neighbouring villages but for the swift response from the youths who mobilized themselves and  confronted  the herders.
