PORTSMOUTH Scioto County citizens, along with area churches and their members, will work together on projects and general cleanup within the local community on Saturday, July 10 as part of Serve Day 2021.
Parents, grandparents, and children of all ages are welcome to participate in Serve Day 2021 as part of their or their community church’s Serve Day group.
In recent years, Portsmouth’s Serve Day has seen its’ participants help in general cleanup efforts at Greenlawn Cemetery, Portsmouth-area parks, help build porches on nearby homes, throw parties for children who live in low-income housing developments, offer cosmetic services for patients in nursing homes, volunteer at CRADLE Pregnancy Care Center, and providing dinner for residents of the Alexandria house.

Marion said: “I feel much safer coming out now that I have had my vaccine and it is great to see my friend Mel again.”

Mrs Linley and Christine Andrews, both 77, from St Neots, were also basking in the sunshine.
Christine said: “This is the first time we have both been able to come out and actually have something to eat.
“It feel like freedom, to finally be doing this, it is the first time I have walked round the town since early last March.
