The U.S. North American Aerospace Defense Command, in collaboration with Canadian tracking teams, are on their game at this very moment,
tracking Santa Claus, as he and his reindeer make their way from the North Pole, and around the globe.
Around 10:50 p.m., Santa made his way through Maine with NORAD confirming his sighting in Brunswick and Augusta as he inched closer to 5.6 billion gifts delivered.
This annual mission has been underway since 1955, when a young child accidentally dialed the unlisted phone number of the Continental Air Defense Command (CONAD) Operations Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, believing she was calling Santa Claus after seeing a promotion in a local newspaper.

Two 4 Wing fighter pilots have been tasked with escorting Santa as he flies through Canadian airspace on Christmas Eve.
Capt. Tucker Densmore and Capt. Sean Foster will accompany Santa on his journey with the help of maintainers Cpl. Edrendel Caddarao and Avr. Christopher Marsh.

This Christmas will mark the 65th consecutive year that the Canadian North American Aerospace Defense Command has tracked Santa’s yuletide journey around the world.
Air Force says 4 Wing crew will help track Santa

The North American Aerospace Defense Command has named the pilots and crew of the Royal Canadian Air Force that will help Santa make his 2020 deliveries and Cold Lake is represented once again.
The Canadian Forces announced Thursday that Captain Tucker Densmore from Halifax and Captain Sean Foster from Cold Lake are this year’s escort pilots out of 4 Wing. Corporal Edrendel Caddarao and Aviator Christopher Marsh are serving as maintainers.
