This was a year unlike any that we have experienced in our lifetimes.
The COVID-19 pandemic dominated so many segments of life. It sickened and took people we love. It spurred the shutdown of so businesses and caused professional and personal disruption. The pandemic affected our relationships, our rituals, our celebrations, our pastimes and even our mourning.
As we prepare to look forward with some hope toward 2021, we re taking a last look back at just some of the things we missed in 2020.
1. Celebrations: Discover Presque Isle and CelebrateErie are two of the social highlights of the year. The Walk for Autism and other major fundraisers also draw giant crowds. That feeling of community and fun, whether socializing or in support of a cause, was sorely absent.
