Tutoring Without Borders News Today

Larisa Bukalov, winner of the prestigious 2023 Math for America Muller Award, began working with educators in her native country of Ukraine after Russia invaded the country. 

"The only way that I could help was to do what I do my whole life, and that is teaching," said the initiative's founder.

Sasha Stelmakh and his mother left Kyiv, Ukraine, when the Russians invaded and made their way to the United States. Stelmach is studying at Southern Connecticut State University.

A Duluth teen's programming work is key to connecting volunteer tutors with Ukranian students through Tuturing Without Borders.

Tutoring Without Borders is available to any Ukrainian student, from those in elementary school to those in university.
