Squash, a foreign variety of winter vegetable is getting popularity among the farmers in Faridipur district. According to the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) in Faridpur, 11 hectares of land in Nagarkanda and Boalmari upazilas have been brought under squash cultivation this year compared to three hectares last year.
