Remarks today that his administration is on top of this. >> reporter: very much so. looking the american people in the eye saying what resources he will bring to bear, those that are available now like vaccines and booster shots, and those that could be available down the line, saying hell use the fda, the cdc and imploring those at pfizer and moderna and j&j to do any tweaking that might be necessary to vaccines if that were to be necessary at some point to adjust vaccines, again, if science de...

And the question is, institutionally, looking at our legal infrastructure, what is going to happen? what we saw in georgia in the aftermath of the murder of mr. arbery was a tweaking to the citizens arrest law, right? so many of our laws have been on the books for hundreds of years, yet they continue to be in force. so i think this is a moment where, in an ideal world, our different localities, our different states would take a look at these laws related self-defense, related to citizens arrest,...

There is significant vaccine coverage, there is a concern that protection is beginning to wane and thats a problem. the booster programs are only getting started. theyve only had limited progress there. with all of that in mind there is still very much a feeling getting vaccines to arms and particularly booster shots into the arms of the most vulnerable remains the core in terms of protecting as many people as possible, particularly protecting the most vulnerable. there is also talk about increa...

To be doing something because there are 24,000 crossings in there are 24,000 crossings in the channel and thats three times higher than last year. so, there is some political pressure in the pledge to take back control of the border but only yesterday, the labour leader was tweaking boris johnsons tail over this, promising but he cant deliver. butjust promising but he cant deliver. but just to be promising but he cant deliver. butjust to be a new initiative for the prime minister, of course, fru...

Driving the conservative justices. do you still feel that way after listening for the last 90 minutes or so? >> i do in part, because of the fact that this law was not enjoined already. maybe given that the approval ratings are dropping and the more justices on the court are feeling concerned. maybe that is shifted. but the thread throughout this entire argument is the fact that roe v. wade is black letter constitution law. were not talking about tweaking at the edges of the second or first amen...

Wages by tweaking the so—called taper, to use the technical bit. i suspect there might be extra help to help people cope with rising energy prices, may be an increase in what is known as the warm homes scheme. people that find it hard to make ends meet get a bit of extra cash to help with energy bills. at the overall clash here is what is the reality between someone who is seeing their energy bills going up, someone who might have had a pay rise but their weekly shop has gone up rise but their...

Inside the lab in china and maybe others. >> thats true, harris. i want to give my own take on this. the n.i.h.s explanation is a little different -- it is worse in a way. the deputy director there is saying gain-of-function research means that it is not that you alter a virus or a virus is altered or a mouse gets sicker. it is a human gets sicker. thats parsing words. what looks like what was going on in the lab is they were tweaking or altering coronaviruss so they could more easily attach in ...

Trillion figure number one is already a compromise. the chair of the senate had a $6 trillion proposal which i supported again because of the urgent need to invest in all aspects of infrastructure. how do we get the number from 3 to 6.5 massaging and tweaking and do we fully fund ten years of a certain program or lets narrow it to six or five and add means testing along the way. theres different ways to massage the number but i dont think we restrict the areas of impact that we are trying to mak...

Hand demonstrating that it will it dont tell business as usual. weve gone round and round with fema in making sure were tweaking and fixing many of the problems we found. im confident the president of the united states when he says that hes going to put the full faith and credit of the united states behind rebuilding louisiana, and not only rebuilding it, but building it back better. this infrastructure plan that were navigating now is a plan that should be by all accounts recognized as a bipart...

Encouraging it and the stunning silence of the republican leaders as this is all happening, treating it as if it is a walk in the park. it is very painful to see. >> not just silence but outright defense and dismissal of the threat. whitney wild is outside of the fencing, surrounding it. law enforcement making sure it is more prepared this time around. so what steps are they taking and what are they expecting? >> reporter: well what theyre expecting is potentially hundreds of beam to descend int...
