MEMPHIS, Tenn. It’s been years in the making, but final approval was given for a multi-million dollar facelift for Tom Lee Park.
Tuesday, the Army Corps of Engineers signed off on the project with a 408 permit, which gave an immediate OK for renovations and improvements to the park on the banks of the Mississippi River just west of downtown Memphis.

We Have Soul. Located opposite the MEMPHIS sign, the new installation is visible from downtown and supported by a flag drift colored to match the brand (and park furniture) of Mud Island Park.
