With that, the u. S. Government hit takata with a fine of 70 million. The fine could grow to a record 200 million if takata fails to live up to the termsave settlement announced today. Jeff ray is a meteorologist at our cbs station ktvt, and hes in fort worth tonight. Jeff. Reporter scott, im on the north side of fort worth, just along 35. Its a busy road. Of course, the interstate, the tornado came in from the southwest, went right over the top of this building, and you can see the video, the large section of the roof came off and went into the employee parking lot. Let me show you where all that metal ended up. You can see its strewn across the parking lot, and a lot of the people who were inside the building at the time are, of course, now trying to get a ride home because their car is literally covered in this metal.
