Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the first Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi on February 14, 2024. BAPS Mandir , the first traditional Hindu temple in the United Arab Emirates, sits on 27 acres of land that were generously gifted by the UAE leadership. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set for an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from February 13 to 14, followed by Qatar from February 14 to 15. This marks his seventh UAE visit since 2014, reflecting the strong India-UAE friendship. During the visit, PM Modi will engage in discussions with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to strengthen bilateral ties. He ll also inaugurate the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi and address the Indian community in Abu Dhabi s Ahlan Modi event.
PM Modi, who will inaugurate the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) Mandir, the first Hindu stone temple in Abu Dhabi, on Wednesday, said: "The BAPS temple in the UAE is an example of your affinity for India."
