Farmer bodies in Karnataka have called for a Bengaluru bandh today to protest against an order by the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) to release 5,000 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu. Another, state-wide, bandh has been called on Friday.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner, B Dayananda, said that Section 144 will be imposed in the city, under which gatherings of more than five people will not be permitted.

Upon checking the Uber app, the passenger saw that the ride had been correctly booked for T2, and the extra charge appeared to be unjustified.
