Ogun: So-Safe Corps arrests okada rider for allegedly stealing bike Published The Ogun State-owned security outfit, the So-Safe Corps, Agbara Area Command has arrested a commercial motorcyclist, one Saheed Bakare of Ajegunle, Atan-Ota, for allegedly stealing a motorcycle, otherwise known as okada. Bakare was reported to have absconded on December 20, 2020 with a motorbike given to him to earn his livelihood by someone, whose identity was not disclosed. After several weeks of tracing his whereabouts, the So-Safe Corps Spokesman, Moruf Yusuf, told DAILY POST that the suspect, was sighted at Atan on Tuesday with a new motorbike – a red Boxer Bajaj with registration No SGM 376 VN.

Child abuse: Teenage girl jumps down from two-storey building Published The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Abia State has rescued a 13-year-old Uduak Willy, a house help, who jumped down from a two-storey building to evade punishment for alleged pilfering. The State Commandant of the corps, Mr Vincent Ogu, said this on Tuesday in his office in Umuahia, while briefing newsmen about the incident, which happened on January 8, at No. 204 Niger Stone on Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway (near Ariaria Market, Aba), where Willy lived with a businessman, Emeka Igwe and his wife, Aniekan. Ogu said the girl took the desperate action after she was accused of stealing N500 from the house and allegedly subjected to serious beating by Igwe and his wife.
