08:08 AM IST: Pudicherry Election Results 2021: The counting of the votes has begin in Pudicherry. Couting is taking place in four states Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and one Union Territory Puducherry has started. The early trends will start tricking in a few moments later.
07:48 AM IST: The battle in Puducherry has been between the Congress and All India NR Congress led by former Chief Minister N Rangasamy. It was the last Congress bastion in the South which was lost recently due to a spate of resignations. Five Congress MLAs and one legislator from ally DMK resigned in January-February this year, leading to the fall of the V Narayanasamy government in Puducherry on February 22. The UT has been under President’s rule since.
