If you go back a year ago here in the Tri-States (and really across the United States) there was frustrations about missing out on the traditional 4th of July festivities due to the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic. Here in Quincy the traditional fireworks display was postponed, and eventually cancelled all together, but a group of Quincy residents pulled together a riverfront street fair and fireworks display that has now officially grown into what is being called the Quincy Freedom Festival.
According to a post from Roni Quinn in the private Facebook group Re-Open Adams County Illinois the 2nd Annual Quincy Freedom Festival will be held on the third and fourth of July this year, there will be live musical entertainment, food, activities for children, as well as booth opportunities for businesses.
