The Nasarawa State Police Command says it has received uniforms and other materials from the proscribed Kungiyar Zaman Lafia Nomad Vigilante group.   The state police public relations officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday in Lafia, the state capital.   According to the police spokesman, the group complied with Executive Order 1, 2024, on the proscription of ethnic vigilance groups and similar organisations.

The Nasarawa State Police Command says it has commenced an investigation into the stealing of a newborn baby at the Dalhatu Araf Hospital

The Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, Umar Nadada, has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigative Department in Lafia to begin an investigation into the attack on a supermarket in One Man Village, near Mararaba in the Karu Local Government Area of the state.

“The council chairman and his political godfather have been reunited with their families," the report read.

Mr Safiyanu Isah-Andaha, Chairman, Akwanga Local Area of Nasarawa State, who was kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Monday, has been freed by his abductors.
