The Gulf of Mexico sea breeze will be able to fire off scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly in areas along and to the east of US41, this afternoon and evening.

The main concern for the weekend will be the elevated fire danger, with dry and very breezy conditions expected across Southwest Florida.

Expect a partly to mostly cloudy, warm, humid and breezy day with no rain and afternoon temperatures in the mid 80s.

Isolated to scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are possible through the afternoon hours.

Naples and Punta Gorda were both 1 degree shy of 90 on Friday. With plenty of sunshine expected on Saturday, we still have a shot at 90 this weekend.

Southwest Florida ends the week with more sunshine and warm temperatures.

A few areas of patchy fog are possible Friday morning but we should find a lot more sun making it a hot and humid day then storms possible Saturday but likeliest Sunday
