(New York, NY) -- A new report out today says wildfires worldwide are only going to get worse. That report by the UN Environment Program predicts the number of extreme wildfire events will increase 14-percent by the year 2030, and 30-percent by 2050. It concludes that even with the most ambitious efforts to fight climate change, the near-term consequences cannot be avoided.
