KISUMU, Kenya, May 17 (Xinhua) --- The ninth Africities Summit opened Tuesday in western Kenyan city of Kisumu amid calls for concerted efforts to promote urban renewal in order to tackle poverty, diseases while strengthening the resilience of local communities.
