(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – At least 20 women have been kidnapped by armed bandits on Friday in a naming ceremony in a remote village in Katsina State.
According to available information, the incident happened around 1:00 p.m. at Gidan Bido village in Dandume Local Government Area (LGA) of the state and most of the abducted victims are married women.
Also, in another separate attack, the gun-wielding men attacked Unguwar Bawa village in the same neighbourhood abducting five men.
According to available information, the attack occurred in the early hours of Saturday.
The Katsina police are yet to speak on the matter as at the time of filing this report.
