Airtel and Reliance Jio customers using certain iPhone models can use the Beta Software Program to access the new spectrum

Tech giant Apple will roll out the much-awaited software upgrades for 5G network in India for its users from next week.

Ericsson on Monday announced that it has entered into a long-term strategic 5G contract with Indian telecom service provider Reliance Jio Infocomm (Jio) to roll out 5G standalone in the country.

With the formal launch of the 5G services, mobile users in India are eager to find out about the compatibility of their devices.

Apple Inc on Wednesday said 5G services will be enabled via a software update and shall be rolled out to iPhone users in India this December.

High data speeds, reduced latency, and seamless coverage are all promised by 5G technology. According to reports, it will improve the network, spectrum, and energy efficiency.

5G is the fifth-generation mobile network capable of transmitting a large set of data at a very rapid speed. In comparison to 3G and 4G, 5G has a very low latency which will enhance user experiences in various sectors. Low latency describes the efficiency to process a very high volume of data messages with a minimal delay.

5G telecom services in India will be launched very soon and the governments target will be to cover the entire country within 2 years, said Union Electronics and Information Technology minister Ashwini Vaishnaw at an event on Sunday.
