The Vitalité Health Network is reiterating the importance of Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC, as a Francophone health care institution.
Finding a viable solution to the cracks in New Brunswick’s healthcare system has brought the Dumont under a microscope after ambulances were diverted from the facility due to nurse shortages.
While there have been public statements suggesting that Vitalité and Horizon health Network find ways to collaborate, the former fears this could compromise its mission.
In a news release, Dr. France Desrosiers, President and CEO of the Network, stated “It is imperative that the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC continue its mission as a Francophone university hospital centre. Any solution to the current human resources challenges must not come at the expense of this mission.”
