The pandemic has uprooted everyone’s usual work patterns. This has been traumatic, but also disruptive in positive ways. Rather than rushing to return to “normal,” the international system needs to explore hybrid ways of working that promote a “networked and inclusive multilateralism” by combining the in-person with the virtual.
