We thank you again for the almost universal International Response to a Great American tragedy which all the world recognized as theirs as well. All your children of goodwill could see the horror of actions by men who were presumed to act in your name causing so much death and destruction. May your spirit of peace an
Her Covert Affairs team have no influence or insight into the resourcing over all. I cant comment that we can get back to you. Thank you for your comments, congressman. So thats exactly why we are here. I speak for a section of the pharmaceutical industry that few people actually appreciate, especially given the statistics that i referenced that two out of every three new drugs approved by the fda last year actually originated in companies that are small biopharmaceutical emerging companies. We dont have a voice in washington. Excelixis is not a member of pharma. Where a number of bio. We dont hear the realities, the pains and challenges that are faced to bring an important new drug to market, represent and the debates because i think a lot of people take for granted that its all great Big Companies with huge budgets and throwing a lot of money at problems. The disaster that is occurring at the border right now and if we could quick put up our chart. Not only to have it on the chart but we had an event in oshkosh over against the required a giveaway so i produced out of my factory cups with that chart but it shows how out of control this problem is. The first seven months of this year we have over 300 total 312,000 individuals over the border illegally and apprehended as unaccompanied child or family unit and i know these are not for public release yet so their initial numbers but in the first three months of may another 65000 unaccompanied children but primarily people coming in his family units and were apprehended at the border between the ports of reentry and over 97000 total apprehensions so were on path for breaking again i guess it was march 10, 3000, april 10, 9000 and now it will be beyond that in may so this is a growing problem. Needs to be taken seriously and its what you and the men and women that you lead are grappling with.
