Will the Prime Minister declare that Family Violence is a National Crisis . And will the Prime Minister join with me and commit to a Family Violence package, including Frontline Legal Services to be funded to ensure women suffering from Family Violence get the right Legal Support and programs to keep women safe at home and to help identify opportunities to prevent violence by mapping perpetrator activities . Done. If i could just maybe correct a couple facts here. First of all, none of our nato allies, not all of them are involved in the coalition, but none are opposed to it. They are all supportive of our mission against the Islamic State. The United Nations is not opposed. In fact, this intervention is happening at invitation of the government of iraq under international law. In terms of refugees, canadas response has been generous and responsible. Weve admitted so far 15 of all the world refugees from the region. In terms of our response to this recent crisis, even before it was in the headlines, i announced our intention to accept additional refugees. I have since announced a number of changes to our system to expedite that number, and were doing so while at the same time making sure that we choose the refugees, that we choose those who are genuine refugees, the most vulnerable people, and also maintain all standards of security and other screening. This is a generous and responsible a
[ speaking french ] [ speaking french ] weve already announced more, already are doing more. But this isnt just a game of trying to up the numbers. Were trying to do things responsibly. Ive visited refugee camps in syria, in northern iraq. Ive visited with families we have accepted from these regions. I have met with leaders from those communities, not just in canada, but in the region itself. And i can certainly tell you, from my visits to the refugee camps in jordan and debriefings there, we cant pretend there are no security risks. Its important that we do screening. Those countries in the world that responded to these headlines as these others would have by just opening the doors and doing no checking have rapidly regretted that, and are now trying to put in place the very kind of system that canada has been pursuing all along. And that is not responsible. The other thing, however, that mr. Mulcair has done on c51 is exactly what so many of us deplore that mr. Harper has done, which is to play the politics of fear. Now, mr.
