Kasi pupilsâ hard work pays off Christopher Moagi
Speaking to
Daily Sun Leonard Mudavhi, principal of Forte Secondary School in Dobsonville in Soweto, said staff almost lost hope when teachers started testing positive for Covid-19.
He said although it wasn’t an easy year, the information they received about how to deal with the virus gave them courage.
“There were instances where as a principal, I nearly lost hope,” said Mudavhi.
“It was especially bad when teachers started getting infected as I had eight teachers testing positive.”
He said when the matrics returned to school after hard lockdown, he and his fellow teachers were able to encourage them.

Delta State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Patrick Ukah, has called on traditional rulers, religious leaders, parents and other stakeholders to appeal to pupils and students in rural areas of the state to resume academic activities for second term of the 2020/2021 academic session.
Mr Ukah, who made the call on Thursday after monitoring the level of compliance of the resumption directive by pupils and students in some schools in the state, said that the second term academic calendar has been affected by the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, expressing concern that students now have less weeks for academic work.
