The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has confiscated assets worth Rs 15,186.64 crore under the Prevention of Money Laundering (PMLA) law, with almost all of these being returned to public sector banks. The ED has taken specific actions against defaulters, resulting in "huge monies" being returned to banks.
