Five years after the Elmont community agreed to house UBS Arena, a retail village and hotel in town, residents are asking for New York Arena Partners to fulfill its promise and build a community center in town.

“Together, we can.” That’s the motto for Christiano Marcello, Antonio Marcello and Fenol LaRock, who at 21, already showing they can as executive directors of the Elmont-based nonprofit Universal Interactions.

In the spirit of giving and sharing thanks with loved ones, nonprofit groups in Elmont hope to lend a helping hand this holiday season by eliminating the stress of families hoping to buy a meal.
