This afternoon, Students for Environmental Concerns hosted a rally to protest the University’s inaction to completely divest from companies that profit from fossil fuels. Under the Illinois Climate Action Plan, the University plans to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 or earlier. According to Objective 9.1, the University also committed to fully divest from fossil fuel.
