Stanley, Purple Eagles Fall To Tigers

(Provided, Niagara University Athletics) Sioux Lookout’s Brandon Stanley was held off the scoresheet Tuesday afternoon as his Niagara Purple Eagles fell 5-4 to the R.I.T. Tigers in NCAA men’s D1 hockey action. The Purple Eagles got out to an early 1-0 lead but the Tigers would come back with two of their own before the end of the first to take the lead and wouldn’t look back. Through six games this year, Stanley has two points (one goal, one assist) and two penalty minutes. The former U18 Kenora Thistle is in his second season with University of Niagara having put up 11 points (six goals, five assists) in 33 games his freshman year.
