The Chinese Army has reportedly abducted an Arunachal Pradesh teenager from inside Indian territory in Arunachal Pradesh's Upper Siang district.

The alleged incident risks triggering further conflict between Beijing and New Delhi as relations sink to their lowest ebb

Gao said the teenager, identified as Miram Taron, was abducted by the PLA from Lungta Jor area under Siyungla area on Tuesday.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry's response came even as the Indian Army sought assistance from the PLA to locate the missing boy on their side and return him as per established protocol, sources in the defence establishment said in New Delhi on Thursday.

The Indian Army has reached out to its Chinese counterpart after reports a 17-year-old boy has gone missing near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh's Upper Siang district, defence establishment sources told NDTV.
