THE latest available government data reveals that the number of new coronavirus cases in Swindons hardest-hit area is more than four times that of the place with the fewest new cases. In the seven days leading up to December 28, 46 Covid-19 cases were confirmed in the Wroughton, Wichelstowe and Chiseldon ward while only 11 were confirmed in Walcot East. A TODDLER who spent last Christmas in hospital for cancer treatment has been honoured for his courage. Samuel Oswin was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in December 2019 after a rash appeared on his body. A FATHER and son who nearly died in a horrible motorway crash want to find and thank the good Samaritans who saved their lives. Gary Fordham suddenly had a seizure while driving home along the M6 with his then-11-year-old son Hayden and their dog Buster at 2pm on New Years Eve 2018.
