Officials say the driver was making deliveries inn the area when he noticed the dire situation.

Esteban Chavez Jr., 24, a delivery driver for UPS, died in his truck while delivering packages last week.

"Drivers are the reason UPS runs, and sometimes bosses forget that," a longtime UPS driver told Insider. "We show up every day to make people happy."
