Royal Oak is celebrating Earth Day with several events that include everything from tree plantings to an Earth Day Climate Rally and Fair at Farmers Market.

The district, which serves Upton, is in its second year of offering online education to students statewide. This has nearly tripled their enrollment figures, which have been declining in recent years for in-person instruction.

Students in Weston County schools are eating locally grown and raised foods and learning about the role of local agriculture as part of a nationwide Farm to School program.
