The City Council just approved plans for a $130 million, 2.3 million-square-foot industrial park to be developed south of East Scyene Road. The project is called Alcott Logistics Station and is expected to create 1,625 jobs. An architect s rendering of the plans for redoing the Northridge Shopping Center.(CenterPoint Commercial Properties ) The city of Mesquite is ponying up incentives to help redo an aging shopping center. The Northridge Shopping Center at 1805 N. Galloway Ave. was built in 1960. Since last year, the retail center has been owned by Dallas-based CenterPoint Commercial Properties. The owners plan to start a redo of the shopping center with help from the city. CenterPoint Commercial will invest $650,000 in improvements, including exterior building enhancements, new signs, roof repairs and storefront renovations.

Dallas-based Urban Logistics Realty also developed the Urban District 30 business park in Mesquite.(Stream Realty ) A New York-based investor has snapped up a new Mesquite business park. A unit of global investment firm Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co. acquired ownership of the first phase of the Urban District 30 industrial park. Ground was broken in January 2020 for the five-building, 980,000-square-foot industrial project near Interstate 30. Urban District 30 is a project of Urban Logistics Realty and a private real estate equity fund advised by Crow Holdings Capital. The development was projected to create almost 500 jobs.

Urban Logistics Realty plans second major industrial development for Dallas-Fort Worth metro April 30, 2021 Urban Logistics Realty (ULR), a Dallas-based investment firm focused on acquisitions and developments, announced the acquisition of 22 acres of land in the city of Euless, Texas to build its second industrial development in Dallas/Fort Worth called Urban District 183 (UD183). The development is an infill, 367,000-square-foot, three-building project located at the northwest corner of Pipeline Road and Industrial Boulevard. The project is slated to break ground in May 2021. Located on the site of the former Cooper’s Driving Range, UD183 will include a 100,000-square-foot rear-load building, a 191,000-square-foot front-load building and a 75,000-square-foot side-load building.
