Five years is a long time in music, which in some cases can only be a good thing. Take experimental noise-rock combo Drahla for instance. Having released their debut album, Useless Coordinates, back in 2019 to a fanfare of critical acclaim, it seemed like the only trajectory was up.

Welcome to the seventh Songs of the Week of 2024. This week Andy Von Pip, Caleb Campbell, Mark Moody, Scott Dransfield, and Stephen Humphries all helped me decide what should make the list. We settled on a Top 8 this week, narrowed down from the 20 songs we seriously considered.
