Apple now appears to have made quite a chunk of the whole work from home demand for new laptops. Apple s new figures reportedly claimed that it clocked a year-on-year quarterly growth reaching 94% for its own MacOS-powered devices just like the MacBook Pro.

Due to the pandemic that took everyone around the world by surprise, the increase in demand for working laptops has skyrocketed. With new office and social distancing restrictions, a lot of people are now working from home which caused a spike in Apple s sales.

Foxconn has recently signed with Fisker Inc. to co-manufacture an electric vehicle. The latter would head the project, and Taiwanese manufacturer, Foxconn, will fulfill semiconductor needs. However, it was initially perceived that Foxconn would also be the manufacturer for the chips, which would be used for the Apple Car, its longtime partner.

While there are no reports that the Apple Car would be relying on Foxconn for its chips or Foxconn denying its future involvement with Apple and its electric vehicle, this new development may be a conflict with the venture. Apple has been in partnership with Foxconn for a long time now, mainly for the chips used by the company s iPhone lines.

Apple said that Antonio Garcia Martinez, its recent hire and former Facebook product manager, is no longer with the company. It comes after its employees petition him out for his sexist views.
The newly hired engineer left Apple after an employee backlash, Apple Insider reports. Employees filed a petition questioning the hiring of Garcia Martinez.
