Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, today released an amount of Rs. 7532 crore to 22 State Governments for the respective SDRF).

The Indian finance ministry has released Rs 7,532 crore to 22 state governments to provide immediate relief to those affected by heavy rain in the northern parts of the country. The funds have been released as per the recommendations of the Ministry of Home Affairs and are part of the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF).

The money has been distributed to states such as Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, and Maharashtra, according to a statement from the Ministry of Home Affairs, , natural disasters, State Disaster Response Force, sdrf, NDRF

With the current release, the total amount of Central share of SDRF released to the State governments so far has gone up to Rs 42,366 crore
