Worldwide, about 40 percent of all children and adolescents with cancer die from their disease. Accurate cancer diagnostics and access to appropriate therapies could significantly improve the success of treatment. With the recently launched "MNP Outreach" program, the Hopp Children's Cancer Center Heidelberg (KiTZ), the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) and Heidelberg University Hospital (UKHD) aim to provide low-income countries worldwide with free access to modern precision diagnostics. This project is supported by Illumina and the organization BILD hilft e.V. “Ein Herz für Kinder".
