Police have booked the four women under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections for theft while three accused in the second FIR have been booked for obscenity, voluntarily causing hurt, and using criminal force to outrage modesty.
Vadodara, Sep 30 (PTI) Twenty persons were arrested for allegedly hurting religious feelings during a procession taken out on the occasion of Eid Milad un Nabi in Padra in Gujarat's Vadodara, a police official said on Saturday.
Instead of being booked under charges of stalking, a complaint was filed for behaving indecently in public since the woman did not wish to be a first person complainant.
The police have seized a pistol worth Rs 25,000 along with two magazines and 13 cartridges worth Rs 1,300. The police also recovered the cash, bank cheques, and mobile phones of the complainant that the accused had robbed during the abduction.
