on the hill because both democrats and republicans did not want that to happen. the one thing i would point out as related to earlier, remember when trump said save your time, rex, don t negotiate with north koreans, rex tillerson has not been back to abe shah. he s been more focused on saving his own job here and walking back his reported moron comments and responding to the internal palace intrigue in the white house and you haven t seen a huge diplomatic effort in asia to get a full contingent of diplomatic sanctions against north korea. so it s almost like rex tillerson has listened to the president and is not doing much negotiating with the allies overseas. when you think about the issues of the midterms coming up for 2018 and we know that steve bannon appearing at the value
and perhaps longer, will keep that deal alive, long enough for european allies to convince the president not to blow it up, for congressional republicans to convince the president not to walk away from the deal, et cetera. when it comes to health care, though, for now and you saw the president talking at the value voter summit, some of the moves on health care have involved taking away coverage of birth control and that sort of thing. that absolutely is red meat for the base. one of the longer term questions is how some of those members of his base will feel when they themselves lose health benefits as a result of some of these changes. those are the people who are more most at risk of losing it is the trump voter. but go on. certainly in terms of two things, number one, this move toward the association and the shorter term medical coverage which he announced yesterday and then the subsequent move today, last night and today that looks

the obama administration put it forward. and, okay, it is what it is. but what concerns me now is how the politics drives the policy. and i think that is something that, you know, a lot of folks in this town need to be concerned about. i thought ali put it very well when he talked about the revolutionary guard. that s an aspect you don t hear anybody talking about what that impact is, what that means. these things don t happen in a vacuum. they are a lot of explosive parts to them. and so when you pull this string and you think, okay, we re just going to take this out and it s all good, other pieces start to fall in place that you didn t anticipate that could be prob m problemat problematic. and so the tensions in the region will grow. our allies will be a little bit more nervous. and i think the fact that a lot of them, particularly those we negotiate with, go we are not worried. it is not a bond anymore. we have to take a quick break before president trump gets up to speak at the v
